Welcome to I LOVE MUNCIE .com! Thanks to Justin Rummel for the FLASH Logo above! A site dedicated to everything Muncie…. And some
other stuff… |
I spent nearly five quality years in the great city of Muncie, Indiana. Muncie is home of Ball State University named for the Ball brothers (think Ball jars and cans). Also featured in Close Encounters of the Third Kind (the first abduction on cornbread road).
Long before it was a city, the Muncie area was home to the Munsee or Wolf Clan of the Delaware Indians. The Delaware Indians, after whom the county is named, established a tribal town along the White River. Munseetown, from which Muncie took its name, was located within the present boundaries of the city.

See this movie. Go buy it on DVD. It is worth it. Great plot, great story telling, great acting, great production. I laughed, I cried, it was better than Cats, I'm going to see it again and again. (SNL reference)

ILoveMuncie.com Fan Mail!
Fan Mail:
"Just to let you know that Muncie was just rated 274th in the worst cities! I went to Garfield grade school and Wilson Jr. High and moved to Florida (1962) going into the 10th grade. I moved back to Muncie in 1991 and have seen it go down hill. No jobs and high taxes. But, I still love Muncie! Your website is great. Keep it up.
